We had the good fortune of connecting with Dante Alba and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dante, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I remember being fascinated by movies and music since I was a little kid. I would turn on the TV at the same time each day to watch my favorite movies. My oldest brother would always play out loud his favorite albums and turn up the radio. My father would try to sing old songs and play classical music. My sister would introduced me new songs and play her children’s music. My younger brother would always play alternative rock and play the guitar and drums. My mother would sing regional songs by her sewing machine and give me some money to buy children’s music CDs at the farmers market. With that being said, my entire family has influenced me without any awareness to pursuit an artistic career.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other it’s my passion, I believe. This passion I have for being an artist it’s what’s keeps me going. I’m most proud of the acting work I have done so far. I’ve been lucky to have work alongside Demi Lovato, CNCO, Katy Perry, Ximena Xariñana, and James Franco to name a few. I’m excited for the music I have been working on for the past few years and that I will be realeasing on all digital platforms pretty soon. How did I get to where I am today professionally? Well, I started from the bottom without any clue of what the entertainment industry was about. I started working as an extra. I was not easy at all. I had to learn English and become more extroverted in ordered to be considered for projects. One of the main lessons I’ve learned along the way is that with patience anything comes at the right time. What I want the world to know about me as an artist is that my love for my work is honest.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them anywhere I could. Of course I would take them to the main touristic attractions but also I would hang out with them at places that are not widely known. In my view, Hollywood Boulevard is the main place to check out in Los Angeles.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Besides my family, who have been my main supporters, I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my teachers. I’m very thankful for their teachings and knowledge that they have shared with me because it has helped me tremendously in my growth as an artist. I wouldnt have been ready for the opportunity’s that have come my way if I had not had the chance to learn from the workshop and clases that I’ve taken.
