We had the good fortune of connecting with David Emenheiser and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what do you want your legacy to be?
Legacy is such a powerful word that holds so much weight for me personally , during the course of my life I have had some serious upset and downs. A little backstory my life from 16 – 36 was truly a mess I was in active addiction with meth, alcohol , heroin and pain killers and at the time never could have imagined a better life I figured my legacy would be an addict who succumbed to his demons, But God !!!!! JESUS Changed my whole life and I believe that reflects in my photograph, so to answer your question I hope my legacy is that I was a man who loved Jesus and truly captured the beauty of this world 🙏

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Photography for me is a form of therapy , it truly brings me such inner peace , especially when I shoot landscapes it’s just a special time for me , just me and my camera and worship music blasting in my headphones , it’s my war room , my rendezvous with Jesus , in nature is where I find direction , where I find peace , where chains are broken , where I get to capture the beauty of this world

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in the high desert in Lancaster, Ca so to really take in the beauty la county has to offer we would have to drive a little bit , but first a stop at the best deli in Lancaster, Desert Deli is a must stop 😁 then a drive down to La to take in all the city has to offer , some of my favorite things to do is shoot long exposure photography in LA , and of course indulge in the many food places, my favorite is the Fairfax market so many varieties.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Like I said Jesus gets all the glory for where my life is today 🙏 the blessings that have come from that relationship with him has opened up so many doors for my business , 2nd is my wife Darlene she is my inspiration and the love of my life and without her encouragement I would have never even pursued photography
