We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Samantha Mendoza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Denise Samantha, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Frame your Lifestyle” which is our company’s motto. Los Angeles is a large city known for all of their neighborhoods. Beverly Grove/Fairfax, Echo Park, Silverlake, to Venice and the list goes on. We pride ourselves by influencing our transplant clients to even the local Socal clientele by focusing on what they do outside of their job. It’s about their interests, foods and culture or desired atmosphere. Lifestyle for us, means a broader sense of their way of living. If they own a dog they may want to live near a dog park or Runyon Canyon, if they enjoy the arts, they may want to live in DTLA near the Arts District or if they love a quiet residential area they may enjoy Hancock Park/Mid-Wilshire. We make it apart of our brokerage to acknowledge and familiarize ourselves with our clientele and match what they desire to stay inspired with the city of LA.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
ROOF Los Angeles incorporates our Polynesian heritage within it’s core structure. We want to surround everyone with the ‘Spirit of Aloha’. Aloha is a way of living and treating each other with love and respect. Aloha is sending and receiving a positive energy. We try to instill positive energy to our homeowners, investors and client relationships. We aspire to build a stronger connection towards communication and positive experiences for everyone we meet.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are several landmarks for our city, we would start nearby our main office on Fairfax. We would take them to the Grove to enjoy a fun walk over to the Original Farmer’s market possibly enjoy some breakfast at Du-Pars or enjoy some of Nonna’s Empandas. We’d walk over and shop around, take photos by the fountain and before we leave we’d grab a box of the famed macarons at Ladureé. If it is a Sunday around our Fairfax neighborhood I’d love to take my bestie to the Melrose Trading Post and end the day with Jon & Vinny’s spicy fusilli. We’d end the day enjoying a sunset photo op at LACMA’s Urban Lights and a stroll down La Brea Tar Pits. If we would enjoy a Dodgers game, I would take the bestie to Echo Park and take a swan paddle boat or have a picnic at Elysian Park. I would either enjoy a lunch at Masa for a deep dish pizza and wait til the evening to enjoy Ostrich Farm! If we decide to switch up the scene a bit, we could head further west on Sunset to Silver Lake and hang out for photo ops at the Mattachine steps overlooking the Reservoir. If we stay in Silver Lake I would love to take my bestie to either Pine & Crane and grab any of their delicious Taiwanese dishes or enjoy a girl date at Cliffs Edge! Another place we would check out on the west side would either be Sawtelle Blvd to grab Brian’s shaved ice and Tatsu Ramen. We’d head down to Venice after and take some photos at the Venice canals then hang out at the Venice Beach Boardwalk to meet up with some friends at the Venice Ale House for a skateboard flight! So many different neighborhoods, and ROOF LA definitely knows how to point any one the right direction whether it be food, adventures and best local transportation!
