We had the good fortune of connecting with Dj Flossdon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DJ, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued Djing as a career because of my love for music. I love when a Dj a party and I see the joy of people having a great time and being free through the art of music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel like Djing is in my blood. I grew up listening to all genres of music. For some reason music always was and still is the one thing that I love the most. I used to go to the park jams and always study the Dj”s. I always knew that this life was for me. Then I met Dj Doo Wop at the height of his prime. FatMan Scoob lived right around the corner from me. I he same vision as I was really cool with his brother Kendell. I also have a host of Dj friends that I grew up with that shared the same vision as I did. I guess having friends that shared the same passion worked out.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I would take them to King Tacos to get a better sense of the Culture of Los Angeles. Then I would take them to In and Out Burger because thats my favorite place to eat. Them I would take them to the Nipsey Hussle Shrine on Slauson. Then we i would take the to the Planetarium next to the Hollywood sign and then to the City Walk and Universal Studios. Then to Hollywood Walk of Fame. Then to Santa Monica Piers and the Venice Beach. And then there is acouple of other spots but for the most part those would be the Hot Spot.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout DjEcho, Dj Rob Dinero (RIP), Dj Jai Live, Dj Rugga Rell, Dj DooWop for making the dream so clear and having me around as a youngin showing me the ropes. FatMan Scoop for always having knowledge for you whenever needed it. Chill Will, Ted Smooth, and all the other Mixtape Dj Legends for sparking the minds of the next generation coming up.
