We had the good fortune of connecting with D’Mario Dudley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi D’Mario, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Control. The power of ownership is now you’re in control, it’s all you. If you believe in yourself, then why not bet on yourself.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Defiant Digital apart from other traditional media companies is we are a media company and a network. We do it all! We can sell or license our shows, we can release our shows ourselves on our network or we can team up with talent or companies to produce their shows. I believe we’re successful today because we’re not afraid to be different by thinking outside the box. There’s so much content that’s released every day but we’re not afraid to focus on quality over quantity. Our approach isn’t easy but we believe the quality approach will pay off big time in the future. The biggest lesson I’ve learned as a creative is to keep trusting your instincts there’s a reason you made it this far. The more success you have the more opinions that come, trust yourself. I would like the world to know Defiant Digital is just getting started, buckle up!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If a friend of mine was visiting the city I would take them to eat at Jinya Ramen, it’s one of my favorite places to eat. As far as hanging out I would take them to Santa Monica beach. You can’t come to the west coast and not go to a beach, for drinks I would take them to the Hollywood strip for plenty of bar options and entertainment.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my parents Teddy Dudley and Camille Dudley for their love and support. Sometimes parents can intefere with their childs dreams in a negative way, because they may not be able to see it. luckliy for me, my parents always supported my entrepreunerial dreams.
