We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, what inspires you?
I am inspired and fueled by the memory of my mother. A powerful, resilient Black woman who never let circumstances define her. She woke up early, stayed up late, and pushed through pain, exhaustion, and sacrifice without ever complaining. She was the definition of strength, the embodiment of hustle, and the heart of our home. She taught me that grinding isn’t just about surviving, it’s about creating a better future, even when the odds are stacked against you. Her work ethic, her courage, and her unconditional love still guide me today. She didn’t have much, but she gave everything she could. My mother was special and because of her, I know I carry something sacred. A legacy built on perseverance, faith, and relentless drive. I move through this world with her spirit in my chest and her lessons in my bones. I am her dream in motion. I grind because she did and I won’t stop, because she never did.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One of my late mentors was a respected business man, investor and record label owner. He gave me the name World Domination and I always thought it was a bold and powerful name. He saw a young man with big goals and the energy to go after them. He knew I was a natural born leader that would influence others and make a huge impact on the world. I have built World Domination Music Group as a powerful movement, with a defiant brand identity. We have rejected industry norms, challenged the status quo and empowered artist to reach their full potential through education and artist development. After many years working for a couple different independent labels, I have gained hands on experience and learned how to be successful in the music industry. Learning from the mistakes of others, I was able to navigate in the music industry and create a name for myself, my artist and my brand.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would give my best friend a cultural immersive week, celebrating the black experience in Los Angeles.

We would start by visiting the cultural heart of black Los Angeles, which is the Leimert Park Village. We would enjoy live music, art, drumming circles, poetry and black owned shops.

For food we would visit the “King Of Soul Food” Dulans Soul Food Kitchen. The Serving Spoon for a delicious breakfast cafe. Harold & Belle for some amazing creole food.

We would take a hike up to the Griffith Observatory for a classic LA view and take pictures of the iconic Hollywood sign. Explore Hollywood Boulevard and a studio tour at Universal Studios or Warner Brothers.

To enjoy the beautiful Los Angeles sunshine, we would visit the Santa Monica beach, stroll the pier and go shopping at the third street promenade. Also, walk or bike to Venice Beach, explore street performers and muscle beach.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible people who have walked alongside me on this journey. From the very beginning, my family has been my foundation. Lifting me up, grounding me, and believing in me even in moments when I doubted myself. Their love has been a constant, unwavering force in my life. I love and cherish my friends and must thank them for being the ones who made the hard days easier and the good days unforgettable. Their laughter, support, honesty, and presence mean more than words can ever fully express. The wisdom, guidance, and encouragement from my mentors have shaped me in ways I’m still discovering. They have poured into me with patience and purpose, helping me grow not just in knowledge, but in confidence, resilience, and vision. Life is not meant to be walked alone and I’m truly blessed to have such powerful, inspiring, and loving people in my corner.
