Meet Dr. Cesar Daoud | Acupuncturist – Chronic Pain, Body & Emotions

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Cesar Daoud and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Cesar, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe little successes make up my day-to-day life. And to feel successful, I tend to perform at high level my ordinary life; including when I am with my patients. A successful day at work would be a smile on my patients’ faces, the hope in their eyes and the love of what I am doing. Yet, there are important professional factors that I believe make a big difference in my practices: I personalized treatment for each and every patient, I use the powerful combination of the best from both, alternative and conventional medicine though all the specialties I have and I go beyond symptoms by treating dysfunction at its source… And success does not go without a high sense of Persistence, Adaptation, Commitment, Open Mind and Gratefulness.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
bioenergy successful story started more than 12 years ago, when I have founded and created bioenergy as a Physical Therapy Center at first. Quickly, I got into Alternative Medicine. I have been traveling to many countries such France, China, UK, and Netherlands… and I got the opportunity to learn lots of new skills that led me to new certifications and degrees. Each country taught me about their health cultures/approaches. It’s very interesting. And it made so much sense for me to combine all of my skills, knowledge and specialties offering a unique way of healing as well as prevention for my patients. At this point, bioenergy evolved as Integrative Health Center; combining both, conventional medicine with alternative medicine. Using the best of each medicine shown significant results, spread hope and high satisfaction to my patients.
And so this is how it works: I treat patient as a whole person to identity and understand the underlying or root cause of a disease. I focus on patient-centered treatment, as each patient care plan is distinct and unique. I involve the patient to participate actively and every aspect of the history, lifestyle habits are being reviewed and considered.
Integrative Medicine and Alternative Medicine are evolving. Better known finally from the past years, it will be on the front line in the coming years.
One of the challenges I face (until now), is that we tend to “normalize” pain. We have a misunderstood/misinformation that pain is normal. So we tend to ignore it or turn it down without solving it. Pain/Symptoms are scared messengers sent by our body to be listened carefully. We should hear them, understood them to be able to move into healing. And my work is to help my patients to understand pain and empower them to life-long health and well-being.
If I could tell the world one thing that would be to take care of our body and our mind, practice Prevention as much as possible. We live with ourselves forever, we should be a priority to ourselves. And our wellness, mental and physical health, is the best way to prevent from illness and to prolong life. It is so much important for each one of us to dedicate time for our own health, our body and mind… before we get into pain, discomfort and injury.
I strongly believe in the relation between the body and the emotions. Emotions are an integral part of our lives and hold the key to our growth and transformation. In Chinese Medicine, emotions and physical health are intimately connected.
We know that stress or other emotion can exacerbate almost any symptom or disorder, but if we dig deeper and actually identify and move through specific emotions, they can provide us a road-map back to health and balance. When we understand and honor the intelligence of emotions as well as the connection between emotions and the body, we can tap into unlimited health and find flow in our lives.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I moved to Cyprus with my family a very few months ago and since the first day, every day is an adventure. If snorkeling days with my kids and the turtles in Protaras (or over the whole island) is one of my favorite activity; there are so many enjoyable activities.
The perfect week long trip would include a Local Winery Tasting (Tsangrarides Wine, Xinistery Wine, Zambartas Wine… just to mention a few), a hike around the breathtaking view of Lefkara Dam, the crystal clear water scenery of Capo Greko, a peaceful walk in Athallassa National Forest Park, a camping night by the sea in Latchi, a sunset bike ride at the Salt Lake of Larnaca, a fish restaurant in Zygi little marina, or getting lost in the small streets of the old town of Nicosia.
And I am still looking forward for more experiences now that Covid-19 regulations are eased.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
While thinking of a dedicated my shoutout, I have definitely first thought of my family, my friends, and also my patients, my colleagues that have shown lots of support and trust in my journey. Because at the end, it is not about one person, one book, one mentorship… the success of my story is a lot about all the persons, all the books, all of my studies, all the professional trips and all and every experience I had. I would give more credit and recognition to the closest persons in my life as my family and my friends for their encouragement, for believing in me without any condition. And to my wife, my everyday pillar; for sharing with my personal and professional life. Working together for the past 6 years, the journey would not have been the same without her.
I feel grateful for all of those people in my life and I keep in mind that my journey just started… and I am looking forward!
