We had the good fortune of connecting with DVS & Will Bace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DVS & Will, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We are identical twin brothers. We are very close and we have always loved to make each other laugh! Because of the twin connection – we have a unique abilities have a very funny banner with each and make people laugh! We were excited share our comedy & jokes. We have been known as the “Dirty Birds” since with had a band in that name since the early 90’s. We felt like if social media was around back then we would have had a great platform to share our material.

Better late then never; so we rebranded ourselves as crows under the same names we had from the band days (DVS & Will Bace). We starting making some video vignettes and posting them online. We quickly gain a following so the videos continued. We were approached by a comedy booker to try the video segments live. We agreed to do 10 mins and the audience when wild for us! Since then we have done many live shows from opening for some of the biggest names in the Boston comedy scene to headlining our our productions in various performing arts centers around New England!

The best part for us is that the twin brother crows are largely based on ourselves. Our “neighborhood” of puppet characters are based on real people we have encounters throughout of lives. The larger majority of material is unscripted and that’s what makes it so funny and different from and other live comedy show of this kind!

We now have a full Comedy Production Comedy called “Delusional Comedy” named after my wife said I was delusional if I though this would ever go anywhere. We have become one of the most sought after comedy bookers in New England and host show at various venues!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My twin brother and I have been in the hospitality industry since the mid 90’s. We have managed many event ballrooms in various hotel around the US. This is where we both got our toes wet with food/beverage/event management.

Making the transition is comedy production show was obviously a bit a different beast but we had the events background and experience to build on!

The biggest thing we want the world to know is: make time for each other, enjoy the moment and laugh as much as possible – even if it’s at yourself! We brother make time to get together to make video but it’s really about the time we enjoy being together, being silly and making each other laugh. The larger majority of people need to turn the phones off and enjoy the now and be present with who they are with in the moment!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Toni Muscillo, Jen Hartland, are a few key people who have really helped us fine tune our act. They have all been a huge source of feedback and encouragement.

Andrew Boyle also deserves huge recognition for helping us with the large productions we do. Andrew has a theater background and takes the director role all of the additional comedians, actors/actresses, musicians, dancers and singers as well as coordinates the the audio, video and lighting teams!

Mike Casano is our live music band leader as well as audio sound effects for all our productions from Performing Arts Centers to smaller Craft Breweries. Mike handle all of it and never have to worry about the musicians and sound.
