We had the good fortune of connecting with Dzasko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dzasko, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Balance is everything, I think we all know that. But many don’t put it in practice, I would say I have at the moment a balanced life, I try to give time and love to myself, friends and family as much as Im giving it to my work.

I’ve used super meticulous with my work, spending all day locked in the studio, which can be useful sometimes (specially when you are under a deadline). But once that becomes a everyday affair and you don’t see daylight, that becomes a problem.

I try to read one book per month and watch at least one movie once every week.
Treating you and your loved one right is extremely important, you just feel great and connected to something that can later spur your creativity.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My musical project is called Dzasko, where im the record producer and singer-songwriter.

I would say im proud of the evolution I’ve taken with my music. Comparing myself from the moment I’ve a DJ and EDM producer to now playing my songs live with a Band, that was a huge change for me.

I think that is important, artists need to challenge themselves and continue evolving.

One thing I’ve learned is that, although some might say “You found your sound”, “This sounds like you”. That is good, cause someone you are finding your identity but you can’t settle with that formula forever, its just gonna keep evolving the more your learn as an artist and the more you grown as a person.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places in Los Angeles are:

Canyon Country Store (Laurel Canyon)
New Beverly Cinema
The Original Farmers Market
Melrose Trading Post
Musso and Frank Grill
Beachwood Cafe
Little Tokyo

Those are the places where I hang most of the time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
