We had the good fortune of connecting with Eden Gillott and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eden, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I cannot imagine my life without my network. They are inspirational, brilliant, and kind. We’re constantly sharing our knowledge, stories, and laughter. Without them, I wouldn’t be a business owner, published author, TEDx speaker, or Spartan trifecta finisher.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My firm specializes in handling bad optics for companies and non-profits. It’s about damage control and telling your story on your terms. I get the call after someone has uttered one or more of the following: Oops, Uh Oh, or Oh No! Think investigations, toxic work environments, misconduct, recalls, fraud, #MeToo, and bankruptcy. I work with attorneys to manage their client’s reputation by flipping the script and managing the message.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It’s all about tailoring it to my friend’s interests. The amazing thing about LA is that there’s something for everyone. Want to visit museums and drink fancy cocktails? More of a beach and fitness kind of person? Maybe it’s all about food and touring restaurants Jonathan Gold reviewed.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To save the song from an overly long Oscars Acceptance Speech, I’m sticking to my families: For my father for mentorship, encouragement, and always beaming with pride. For Entrepreneurs’ Organization for combining together kick-ass business owners, education, and one of a kind experiences. For The Exchange and ProVisors for creating communities that take the ickiness out of networking. And for all besties that I share endless texts and inside jokes with. I love you all for being my family!
