We had the good fortune of connecting with Eli Wulfmeier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eli, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to be a songwriter

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I moved out to Los Angeles to play guitar after seeing bands like Guns N’ Roses, Crosby stills Nash and Young the Eagles the Doors on videos, and hearing Bob Seger’s “Hollywood Nights”. Coming from Detroit, Los Angeles was something new and exciting. I didn’t know anybody, so I just sort of figured it out. I would go out to clubs, see shows and meet other musicians. Eventually I started playing with a lot of bands as a guitar player, and from there I was able to sort of hone what direction I wanted to go.
I think some of the challenges being a musician in Los Angeles is the cost of living out here, but there’s a community of musicians making it work and playing places like the grand old echo, Desert 5 Spot and a few others that have cultivated a scene.
I think some of the things that I’ve learned along the way have been just to be open to any new experience and try to stay inspired. You just never know where it’s gonna take you.
I am most excited about this new record that we’re about to put out in the fall. It’s called “My Favorite Gun“ and it was produced by Joe Bourdet. I got to play with my friends Jason Ganberg and Adam Arcos, and we just cut the whole thing live in a room together. After that we added a few guitars and some keys etc. We will be touring on that this summer, so that’ll be something to look forward to.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
if somebody was visiting Los Angeles I would take them to the beach in Malibu. Get a mai tai at Duke’s. Then go to Silverlake and have margaritas at El Condor then go see a show at the Echo especially for the Grand ol Echo on Sundays. At some point we would have to go to the Rainbow in Hollywood. It’s just something Everyone needs to see.
