We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Furest and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is the catalyst for growth – the gateway to infinite possibilities. Risk requires us to embody courage, signifying true strength and deep self-possession, a consciousness that allow us to experience life as exciting rather than challenging. Risks are the building blocks to our future selves – commanding that we never stay the same. Whether in career, education, or craft, it’s risk built upon risk that allows us to map out infinite points of possibility. For me, life would be a bore without risk, because risk generates a constant change and that’s what makes life so exciting and malleable. To evade risk would be to embody fear, and that is not authentic living.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a highly sensitive being, my instinct has always been to help others, and what sets my work apart from other practitioners, is that I work with the client energetically and intuitively, meaning I work in unseen realms.

I offer one-on-one Energy Clearing and Intuitive Counseling sessions, providing insight and clarity to the seeker’s inquiries. These sessions often focus on health, relationships, career, or home life, but can also be include receiving guidance and messages from another spirit. If there is blocked energy, such as limiting beliefs or repeating patterns, we will clear and upgrade the client’s energy, providing a transformative, more free and joyous state of being.

Right now, I am most excited about being a student of Advanced Energy Medicine & Chinese Medicine. In this clinical setting, I am one of eight practitioners that works with clients to clear heavy-hitting energetic patterns such depression, addiction, physical trauma, or emotional trauma. What awes me the most is how much self-healing we are capable of – our natural state is to be happy not perfect – to feel safe, joyous, abundant – simply by being. Once we can clear through the layers that have dampened our ability to connect with ourselves, it’s incredible to see how bright and creative our souls really are. There’s nothing more exciting that living from the authentic place of your soul – it’s the truest, most alchemized version of yourself and that’s divinity!

Although I trust I have been on the spiritual path for a very long time, it wasn’t until about 6 years ago that I incorporated my intuition into my professional life, when I earned a Masters in Intuition Medicine from the Academy of Intuition Medicine and became an Energy Medicine Practitioner. Like anything worthwhile, it’s taken me dedication and time to build my practice, as I primarily work on word of mouth, trusting that those who seek me out are seeking me out for a reason. The process wasn’t easy, riddled with challenges like, “how will I find enough clients?”, “how do I know I can do this?” but then I realized that all of these challenges were simply my own blocks. These questions were my biggest fears being projected upon my path. There was nothing indicative of failure besides my own mind, so, I used my energy clearing tools and continued to live authentically, to believe in myself, to take care of and invest in myself, to treat myself with the kindness and compassion I would a patient, and once I did this, many of the roadblocks I self-conjured, began to clear, and pathways began to open.

I trust that when we truly believe in ourselves, and operate from the seat of our souls, and from a place of conviction, we truly do create an incredible world of possibilities. I help people to gain clarity, reclaim their power, and be all they were created to be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, we would certainly bike Montana Avenue in Santa Monica and walk the beaches followed by a meal at my absolute favorite for sushi, Wabi on Rose in Venice.

Since another good friend of mine lives in Culver City, we would have to stop by Bianca for a freshly-made pastry, and later grab dinner at the newly-opened Juliet Restaurant or Lillie’s Restaurant in the Culver Hotel, to enjoy live jazz during the evening.

On another occasion, you could find us walking Huntington Gardens in Pasadena or riding bikes in Brentwood, followed by more food at the spectacular Baltaire.

Above all delights, however, is The Getty Museum, which takes the cake for most enriching experience. And for laughs, we would go to Comedy Tuesday’s at Yamashiro. For downtime and relaxation, we would book massages with our favorite therapist, Cami, (@camithetherapist) for a Swedish or lymphatic drainage massage, facial, or cupping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to Dr. David R. Hawkins, the author of Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender, one of the most influential, inspiring, and effective books that I have ever read. His work allowed me to get out of feelings and into freedom.

I would also love to give a Shoutout to all of you who are doing the deep work to show up in your divine light – your authenticity and courage is so greatly needed and appreciated. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world!

And lastly, I’d like to give a shoutout to all of my friends, family, and clients – thank you for trusting in me and my work – your presence and support makes me a better person and practitioner. I am so grateful for each and every one of you.
