We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Moradi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, what do you attribute your success to?
Definitely consistency. Showing up is half the battle. I believe a lot of why some people become “successful” at something, and others don’t, is because some keep pushing at it even when they get setback, even when they don’t see results, even when they repeatedly get rejected. It’s the difference between giving up when it looks like things are not happening, versus sticking through every single obstacle and actually seeing it happen. You have to be consistent, you have to keep creating, and you have to keep putting your work out there, regardless of what comes back.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business turned into a reality strictly because of social media. I was able to create a little following from nothing, to not only share my work and inspiration, but also to create a platform where everyone in the event industry could connect. It definitely wasn’t easy but consistency was key in overcoming the challenges along the way. It is truly what led me to where I am today. It wasn’t my designs or my knowledge of the industry, it was the fact that I kept designing, kept publishing my work and kept showing up, even when it seemed like the world didn’t want me to.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ok we would definitely hit up all the good sushi restaurants in LA (like Sugarfish and Nobu). And a day at the beach is a must! With some extra spicy bloody marys at Paradise Cove of course. Get in some shopping at the Beverly Center and walk the pier at Santa Monica, you really can’t go wrong! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout has to be dedicated to my amazing kids! Without them I wouldn’t even have the drive necessary to fuel this entrepreneurial journey. They are the reason I do absolutely everything that I do. And they’re my single source of strength to keep pushing through every day.
