We had the good fortune of connecting with Elyse Bernardi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elyse, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I realized that I needed to find something that would continuously motivate me to further my education in order to maintain my artistic and creative abilities.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have honed my hairdressing skills through years of experience and continuous learning. What sets me apart from others is my commitment to staying current with the latest trends and techniques in the industry. I take pride in my ability to listen to my clients’ needs and deliver results that exceed their expectations.

My journey to where I am today professionally has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. It was not easy, and I faced numerous obstacles along the way. However, I overcame these challenges by staying resilient, seeking guidance from mentors, and never giving up on my passion for hairdressing.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of perseverance and dedication to my craft. I have also learned the value of building strong relationships with my clients and providing exceptional customer service.

I want the world to know that my brand is built on a foundation of passion, creativity, and a commitment to excellence. My story is one of hard work, determination, and a love for the art of hairdressing. I strive to make every client feel confident and beautiful, and I am dedicated to continuing to grow and evolve in my profession.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Over the weekend, my best friend happened to be visiting, and we decided to go zip lining in Occidental. It was a thrilling experience! Afterwards, we visited the Bohemian market and enjoyed some delicious deli sandwiches. We then headed back to Sebastopol, where we explored the farmers market at the Barlow. It was called Head West and featured fantastic vendors. We had an incredible time together.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Starting out as an assistant in my career gave me a really good foundation for knowing all the rules and when you can kind of bend them to certain situations. Fresh out of beauty school I went directly to Toni and guy, creative art Director for chemical and color services, and mastered that after two years. Then I found myself in Sacramento and worked with an amazing hairdresser name Adam James Federico, and he taught me a whole another world of hair cutting styling and designing hair.
