Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started my musical endeavors as a drummer in the church and playing professionally by the age of 13 years old. I was going on city tours with a gospel group my mom was a part of called “Linda Gore & The Gopesl Spritualettes” in Washington, DC. My mom also sang in a group with R&B Singer Johnny Gill called “Johnny Gill & the Wings for Faith”. I come from a line of singers and musicians. I was wasn’t easy being the youngest person to play drums in a church or gospel group because at lor people were doubting me because of my age, but my grandmother and mom encouraged me to continue on and never give up.
The lesson I’ve learned along the way is to stay creative, stay focused, be humble, and know that with the gift that was given to you, nobody can take that away!
I’m Dope Blame My Parents and that’s what I want the world to know!
