We had the good fortune of connecting with Eunice Kim and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eunice, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity. As an entrepreneur, I deeply stand behind building a business that authentically reflects who you are as a person. At the end of the day, the business is created to support people, and that human connection is best established through an authentic and genuine mission that reverberates throughout every aspect of the business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
HiVi radically raises the quality of life for cannabis and hemp users in an increasingly stressful world by making cannabis easy to learn and adopt. We understand that this one plant provides myriad benefits, but only when consumed consciously. As a science-backed and inclusive Cannabis Concierge, HiVi eliminates the guesswork, trial-and-error, as well as wasted dollars, in figuring out what is uniquely right for each consumer.
HiVi is currently accepting beta testers for its personalized recommendations feature, the Cannabis Concierge, which features a proprietary algorithm that matches a user’s unique goals— ranging from anxiety to sleep, pain, energy, and more — to the right products based on the latest scientific research and formulation expertise, all in under 3 minutes. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The beauty of LA is how expansive it is with very distinct and rich pockets of culture. If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d treat her to half of week of LA exploration, whether it’s tacos Downtown, craft cocktails and vibes in Echo Park, or a hike and amazing beach views in Malibu or the canyon. The food, weather, and energy are unmatched in LA and as a born-and-raised LA local, I know the fun hidden gems that really bring the city to life.
The second of half of the week would be a drivable getaway since LA is situated perfectly to transport you to a totally different environment within a 2-3 drive. We have the beaches in San Diego directly to the south of us, to wine tastings in Santa Barbara to the north, to desert hikes and retro vibes in Joshua Tree and Palm Springs, and a quirky island adventure at Catalina to the west.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The HiVi Higher-Ups community! It’s now a 150+ member group of women cannabis advocates from all walks of life. It’s the supportive and strong community I wish I had when I was discovering cannabis and while I may be an expert now, I still truly value and am grateful for the community because they lift me up as I build a company in a really tricky industry.
