We had the good fortune of connecting with Faheema Chaudhury and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Faheema, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Different things make me happy on different days. Some days, I can look up at the clouds and smile. Other times it’s watching my favorite films. Before 2020 it was frequent trips to Disneyland that made my heart smile with so much joy it could burst.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an artists who loves putting color, whimsy and magic in her designs. I create what I personally love. If I’m not excited about it, how can I expect anyone else to be excited? You’ll see lots of examples of my personal taste in my art – influences from cartoons, desserts and experiences.

It was not always sunshine and rainbows starting Unicorn Crafts. I learned a lot by trying things, failing and trying again but this time applying what I learned the first time. I had a group of women in my life at that time also at the beginning stages of their business too. We’d bounce ideas off each other and learn from one another’s experiences.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh my gosh! I’d 100% take them to Disneyland, without question. I love this place so so much. Not just because I’m a Disney History buff who enjoys trying the latest seasonal offering. Disneyland holds an infinite amount of inspiration for me. I wasn’t one of those kids who got to go all the time. I didn’t go more than a handful of times when I was younger and only when we had relatives visiting us. So when I go now, I take it all in. I notice every little sight, sound and smell. It’s all magic and magic inspires me and my art.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All the women who answered my millions of questions when I first started Unicorn Crafts. To the strangers who became my closest friends after business lunch dates turned into days full of amazing conversations.
