Meet Lauren Parrish Walker: chief product officer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Parrish Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Funny, I don’t think in terms of risk, I think in terms of whether I can achieve this strategy. once I think I MAY be able to achieve it. I jump in… that has proven successful for me in my career and my life for the most part. when it hasn’t… it’s ok! it’s part of learning how to do it better next time.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career started very early following my dad around tuxedo trade shows as a little girl. Fashion is and has always been deeply inspiring for me and from that.. it comes easy..not the work, the love of it. It drives me forward and I never get bored because fashion is SUCH an individual choice and statement for everyone. I compare it do dancing…everyone has their own moves. I followed my heart for the most part, my competitive edge was that I have always been deeply motivated to succeed in dressing people and making them happy. I always try to keep an open mind/ think about the consumer and what he/she wants/needs to make them FEEL. I have learned many lessons along the way, but mostly to trust my instincts, listen and LEARN. be open minded and ready for the success. when you prepare for struggle…you struggle. when you prepare for what you really want, meant to WANT…you will be more successful…and that doesn’t always have to be monetary. success is what you you make it! go out and get it. don’t look back.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love living in California, and due to covid, things haven’t been exactly the way they used to! the great bar hopping and window shopping has been replaced with walking, beach trips and hiking outdoors. some of my favorite things to usually do in LA, is to visit some of fav joints: gracias madre/wallys/blue plate oysterette to name a few. I vintage shopping in all the areas of la. my favorite finds include art and old Levis. I am obsessed with Palm springs and will own a house there one day for sure!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My kids, my family, all my friends and loved ones..and all the people and bosses who taught me mostly what NOT to do.
