Meet Felix Quiñonez Jr. | Gallery manager and illustrator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Felix Quiñonez Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Felix, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Realizing that it’s ok to ask for and to accept help. That’s why I’m really passionate about paying it forward and providing a platform and opportunities for others.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I use my art to tell stories that are personal but also touch on universal themes. My work often combines autobiographical elements with fantasy, sci-fiction, and my love for NYC. I’m most proud of the fact that I try to use my platform to help elevate other creatives while trying to foster a small community of likeminded individuals.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ideally this friend’s visit would happen when there is a great band in town. I love to see live concerts, especially in Kings Theater. I’d want to hit up Brooklyn Museum and afterwards walk to Prospect Park. Afterwards we could grab pizza at Brooklyn Pizza crew. When we want to go out, I’d take him to Nostrand Ave Pub. It has a slight dive bar vibe to it, while still being big enough to not feel claustrophobic. I’d also want to check out Dumbo, hopefully during an art walk.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
