We had the good fortune of connecting with Ferruccio Peruzzi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ferruccio, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
There wasn’t really a defined strategy behind it. I’ve been writing songs since I was a child, so I simply decided to keep doing what makes me happy and turn it into a career. At first, it felt like no big deal, but now I realize that staying true to yourself despite the risks is an incredibly brave act.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Making music isn’t just about the music. There’s an entire world, a framework you need to build around your music that reflects your identity. What I love about the brand I’ve created as an artist is that I’ve been able to shape it exactly the way I wanted. This includes the visual aspect—like looks, photos, and videos—and the storytelling aspect, addressing difficult topics that matter deeply to me. What I’ve learned along the way is that the hardest part of being an artist is staying true to yourself. Creating something that truly represents you is challenging because the judgment of your work feels deeply personal, and it’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to do what you think others will like. What I’m most proud of, then, is that this project is completely—and sometimes painfully—honest.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When I visit a new place, what I enjoy most is experiencing the everyday life of the place I’m staying in, rather than just the tourist attractions. I love wandering through local bars, chatting with people, and enjoying happy hours. So, if a friend were visiting me, I’d happily show them the more routine aspects of my life: my favorite bars and hangouts, the spots where I go dancing, and indie music concerts. I wouldn’t plan a strict itinerary—I’d let us be guided by whatever we feel like doing in the moment!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe a lot to many people. In general, I see life as a collective experience, so I don’t really believe in success achieved solely through one’s own efforts. The person I feel most grateful to for this specific project is my -almost- husband, Dilyan. Not so much for the encouragement, though that was there, but because over the past four years, he has shown me a completely new way of being in the world. He’s taught me that it’s beautiful to build things day by day, finding peace rather than chasing storms, and that it doesn’t matter to have everything right away or to see life as all or nothing. He’s taught me patience, and that’s the only true reason I’ve been able to accomplish everything I have.
