We had the good fortune of connecting with Francina Juncaj and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Francina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Having supportive family and friends has been the most important factor to me and my career. I’ve always been confident and had a plan to pursue acting since I was young. Having people I love around me continue to motivate and push me beyond limits set me up for success more than I can imagine. I want my brand to embody family and love and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a very dramatic actress and model, but I also have a super witty and sassy sense of humor that I’ve been putting more of on screen. I feel very passionately about the art I create. I love to be on every side of the project from creative directing, makeup, set design, art direction, and more. I believe being able to master all sides of the field sets me apart from others. For me, the excitement comes from being able to build up a project that inspires everyone involved. I only want passion and dedication around me and I always want to give that in return. I’m a hard worker and allow no room for excuses. I will give a lot of credit to my Detroit creatives for getting me where I am professionally. The amount of talent that I was able to work with and be inspired by helped me grow into a hungry and unstoppable woman. There is a sense of family and teamwork there and it’s all about building each other up. It made the journey much easier for me to come out to LA, being as prepared as I could be, to take on the big city. I’ve learned how important it is to stay true to myself and my brand. The entertainment industry is so fast and cold and intense, keeping yourself grounded and having a support system is key to success. I want the world to know that being honest and authentic is the best way to live. I want people to be true to themselves, be mindful, and enjoy life. I hope to continue to bring joy and passion into people’s homes through my art.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Most of my friends and family are from the Mid West so I know how much they enjoy being able to hike in LA. My current favorite trail is Fryman Canyon. After a hike comes pancakes, of course! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I’m taking them to Breakfast by Salt’s Cure, Eveleigh, and Sweet Chick. Some other favorite food spots are Miz La La, Gracias Madre, Gjelina, and Fabiolus Cucina. One of the huge reasons I fell in love with California is the ocean. Beach time is super essential when visiting and we’re going to Zuma or Manhattan beach! Since I live near the Hollywood stars, I don’t count it as a main attraction, but it is always fun showing friends that I live right in the middle of the madness. Nature is the most exciting for me. Santa Barbara is a beautiful area and the drive up the coast is one of the best experiences I’ve had. A relaxing weekend getaway would be a perfect finale.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to shoutout my amazing sister, Valentina’s jewelry brand VAJZE. Everyone in my family is very hard working, but seeing my sister’s brand come to life, while also having a full-time corporate job, has given me a lot of motivation and fuel for my career. I also work in child care development, so children are very special to me. I volunteer with two organizations here in LA, Happy Trails for Kids and Covenant House of California. Happy Trails is an organization that provides extracurricular activities for kids in foster care. Covenant House is an organization that works with the homeless and sex trafficked youth by providing shelter, food, education, and many resources to aid in the youth becoming safe and independent. This has really helped to keep me humble and hardworking, no mater what obstacles I may face. I’m always working to be the best version of myself and share some of that love and guidance with others.
