We had the good fortune of connecting with Francine Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francine, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting Francine Queen Of Threads was a natural extension of my lifelong journey of seeing beauty everywhere I go. From an early age, I’ve had a knack for spotting beauty in people’s faces, and appreciating distinct aspects in their looks along with their personalities. Over time, I cultivated this ability to note subtle details in their features for what made them distinct. Adding to this natural ability, my mother was an acupuncturist and holistic medical practitioner, which taught me other ways of seeing a person in her or his entirety – simply in the way my mother shared her work with me. I’ve always believed that beauty isn’t just skin deep; it’s a reflection of one’s inner confidence and happiness. As a registered nurse with a passion for aesthetics, I recognized the transformative power of non-surgical modalities to enhance one’s natural beauty and self-esteem.

One memorable patient experience stands out—a woman who had endured years of hardship and felt invisible to the world. Through our comprehensive treatment plan spanning a year, we addressed her physical concerns and restored her confidence. A year or so later, she movingly shared what to some might be a passing moment. To her it was life-changing. She was finally noticed and acknowledged at her local Trader Joe’s by the gentleman who bagged the groceries. Up to then she had literally experienced invisibility. To me, this encapsulates the profound impact of aesthetic enhancement on one’s sense of self-worth.

Starting this business wasn’t just about pursuing my talents and passions; it was about creating a meaningful avenue to empower others and enrich their lives. Combining my love for science and beauty, Francine Queen Of Threads has become a vessel through which I can help individuals embrace their beauty and live life to the fullest. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about fostering a sense of belonging and self-assurance in each person I have the privilege to serve. I also enjoy creating an atmosphere both for clients and staff alike that cultivates kindness and safety. I strive for an environment that offers beauty inside and out as well. And turns out, kindness and a keen eye is good business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me, I would dive into an authentic Korean spa experience at Wi Spa. It’s all about traditional treatments in a relaxed setting. In the evening, we could catching a comedy show at the Irvine Improv or soak in the live music. Other options savoring delicacies in Newport Beach and visiting the beach and walking barefoot by the ocean.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There have been many influences along my journey. I want to give a special shout-out to Dr. Kian Karimi for elevating my knowledge of the aesthetic industry, and to my children, who inspire me daily with their beauty and love.
