We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabe Tabari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabe, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
tarting ProShot Media came from noticing a big gap between creativity and how business actually works. I saw so many eCommerce brands in Los Angeles struggling to get high quality product photos or videos without spending a fortune. Most studios were too expensive, and freelancers didn’t always operate in a way that made sense for growing brands.

That’s when I realized there needed to be a middle ground. Professional, polished product photography that was affordable and business friendly. I wanted to build a studio here in LA that understood both the creative and the practical side of things.

ProShot Media was my way of making that happen. A place where small and mid sized brands could get the same quality visuals as the big names, with transparent pricing and a process built around the client’s needs. Over time, we’ve grown into a go to studio for product photography in Los Angeles, working with brands that want clean, consistent visuals for their websites, ads, and social media. Seeing businesses level up their image because of our work is what makes it all worth it.

What should our readers know about your business?
ProShot Media is a Los Angeles based product photography studio that helps eCommerce brands look their best online. We specialize in clean, high quality images that help products stand out on websites, ads, and social media. Our goal from the beginning was to make professional product photography simple, affordable, and built around what businesses actually need.

What sets us apart is how we think from the client’s perspective. We make our pricing, process, and portfolio fully transparent so there are no surprises. We also don’t believe in charging extra for usage rights — once you pay for your shoot, the photos are yours to use however you need. That approach has really connected with small and mid sized brands that are trying to grow without breaking the bank.

It definitely wasn’t easy getting to this point. Like a lot of creative businesses, we started small and learned by doing. Every project taught us something new — from managing tight deadlines to figuring out how to make tricky products look amazing on camera. What kept us going was the satisfaction of seeing a project go from nothing to something beautiful. Watching a brand’s visuals level up because of our work never gets old.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that great work comes from caring about the details and the people behind each product. I want the world to know that ProShot Media isn’t just about photos — it’s about helping businesses tell their story through visuals that actually represent who they are. Whether it’s a local Los Angeles startup or a national brand, our goal is to make every product look its best and every client feel confident in how they present their brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Malibu, Venice, and Sonoratown in Downtown which is actually a few doors away from our studio in the Fashion District.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d give a big shoutout to the Grateful Dead. Their whole approach to creativity, freedom, and community has always inspired me. One thing that really stood out was how they encouraged fans to record their concerts and share the music. Most artists would have tried to control every copy, but the Dead saw it differently. They understood that giving people the freedom to share actually built a stronger connection and kept their art alive.

That idea really influenced how I think about photography and usage rights at ProShot Media. I never liked the idea of limiting how clients could use photos of their own products. Once we deliver the images, they’re yours to use however you need. Just like the Dead trusted their fans to spread the music, I trust our clients to share their visuals in ways that grow their brand. It’s all about community, creativity, and giving people the freedom to make something bigger out of what you create together.
