We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’m allowing God to guide me through this process. Praying for direction has gotten me where I am today with my catering business.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m passionate about food, travel and lifestyle. My brand, She Eats Art is a manifestation of these interconnecting life gems. As a self-made chef, my cooking style takes of this essence. It fuses crisp colors and uses naturally enhancing flavors all while promoting a healthy diet. Inspired by my Caribbean lineage, Asian tastes & California upbringing, you are sure to find a taste of culture in the unique blend of my recipes.
I’ve learned that great things take time, this process challenges my patience & faith. When I reach an obstacle, I ask for help. A closed mouth doesn’t get fed. I celebrate small wins, that’s what keeps going to the next step. God has blessed me with a talent to share with the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d take a short 1.5 hour drive to the Bay Area, hotel hopping every other night while exploring some of the most popularly landmarks in Northern California. Starting in SF, we’re going to Brenda’s French Soul Food for brunch where their crawfish beignets will make your taste buds dance! Then, we’ll head over to San Francisco Museum of Modern Art for our day activity. Next, find an aesthetically pleasing coffee shop for a pre-dinner latte using Yelp for guidance. Following with a walk through Palace of Fine Arts & Bakers Beach because they are only 5 minutes away from each other. Ending the night with dinner reservations at Skates On The Bay in Berkeley, CA.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my Papa, Chester Riggings, rest his soul. Thank you for being my guardian angel & keep visiting me in my dreams. I love you.
