We had the good fortune of connecting with Gädes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gädes, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Los Angeles, CA But I was raised by a southern woman
My upbringing has impacted me in so many ways..
One being love and respect for different cultures which I try to put more of into my art and concepts
It has also affected my work ethic, I come from a line of very intelligent, hard working women that never took no for an answer hence why I don’t believe in anything being impossible.. the word itself says I’m-possible

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a model, music artist, and overall creative. My art is unpredictable, out of this world and overall different from anything anyone has EVER seen and/or heard.
I got here because I had a vision and I worked towards it, it started when I was very very young around 7 years old..I already knew who I wanted to be
It was definitely not easy, a lot of ups and downs but it definitely was worth it those challenges put a fire in me and helped me never give up on my goals.
A few lessons I have learned so far is that there is no rush, there is a place and space for everyone, and a balance between work and rest is essential!

I want the world to know that I create from a space of love and that I share my art with the world in hopes that it will heal, help, and encourage someone.
I spent my 16th birthday on a bench, and all I had to hold on to in my darkest of times was a dream that some said was impossible, I hope to be an encouragement to others in everything that I do, I hope they feel the love & passion that comes from my music and creativity and I hope it makes their life’s better knowing that if I can do it, if I can become successful after coming from nothing …so can they.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I’m a foodie lol So my favorite things to do when my friends come into town will definitely include a great food spot. My top 5 are;
BBCM on Sunset, Toca Madera. Tao
Nobu, and The Peninsula in Beverly

We also have great art museums such as The Broad, my favorite is The Grammy Museum (which I will be in one day🤞🏿)

I like the beautiful views and nature when hanging out so anywhere like the
Mulholland Scenic Overlook or hiking in the hills is a great way to spend some time.

Of course the movies and the beach
Best theatre in my opinion is The Regal in DTLA and Malibu is my personal favorite beach

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother, if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t even be here. But my drive, strength, dedication, and faith has all been influenced by her.
On top of that she has always been encouraging and supportive.
So shout out to mama haha
Also to everyone who has been supporting me through out the years, it means the world to me and to know that I’m inspiring someone out literally keeps me going ❤️
