We had the good fortune of connecting with Giancarlo Floridia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giancarlo, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was raised in Torrance California/ South Bay . Its was a great time during the late 80s early 90s era tons of music everywhere . I’m really fortunate , it helped me with everything I’m doing today as a writer.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love writing songs with some of my favorite artist on the label or people I used to watch on MTV when I was a kid. It’s been a really awesome experience. Also, I get to help out with music videos on the label. Sometimes I’ll do story writing for the song and I’ve even been able to act in a few videos which was funny.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, when most of the artist come into town that I end up working with let’s say they’re from another country. Most people wanna go to the Hollywood area like the rainbow bar and Grill the whiskey a gogo stuff like that.. but if it’s up to me, I prefer Redondo Beach pier or something of that nature more with the water. But usually it ends up being Hollywood. Ha
