We had the good fortune of connecting with gina galeoto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi gina, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to start my own business to take more control of my time! I, one day, miserable in the office of my 9-5, did the math to calculate how long I’d be inside an office if I worked a 9-5 until I retired at 65 years old. What I found completely shocked me! Nine years is what I came up with, Nine years of life inside an office instead of spending that time of my one life doing what I wanted and what I loved (and that’s not even including the commute). Nine years away from my husband and those I loved, unable to even pick up my phone to message them without permission. That is when I knew that life is too short to spend it working away for someone else’s dream and that, if I was going to work for the rest of my life, it was going to be for myself and at my own will.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am most proud that my business helps dreams come true. The fact that each creative/aspiring business owner who books a session with me or purchases a training from me is making MY dream come true BY learning how to make their own dream come true is so special to me. It is amazing to know that my clients and I have a truly symbiotic relationship. in that I wouldn’t be here without them & I do everything I can to ensure I am giving back & contributing to their lives just the same. It is not easy to start your own business and, in the midst of “the great resignation,” I think that that is important to note, as entrepreneurship has become so glamorized during this time. Entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone! The largest challenges I face are impostor syndrome as well as managing accountability and energy levels in order to ensure I’m prioritizing the right things at the proper times. As far as overcoming those challenges, the only way out, is through! One of favorite things to tell my clients is, “what stands in the way, IS the way.” You have to work through your challenges in order to learn the solutions to them. The mission behind my business is to enlighten all those who feel stuck in 9-5 life to the fact that they CAN have the time-freedom they desire as well as guide them in their journey to getting that life using the power of social media!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a Houston, TX based creator! Some of my favorite spots in the area are Eleanor Tinsley & Buffalo Bayou Park. I’d love to spend the day there having a picnic and taking content and then head to drinks at Z on 23 rooftop bar! They have a great view of the city and it is in a convenient spot downtown!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! I wouldn’t be here without the support of my Husband, Austin Frick, nor the mentorship of my business coach, Christina Galbato. I give SO much credit to them for where I am in my business, today.
