We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My success is built on the success of other women. I established a “Mission” to train at least 100 women and help them build successful spray tan and teeth whitening businesses. I want to help women, moms, single moms learn how to start a beauty business without having to invest thousands of dollars and learn have to become financially independent.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I started training women how to start a spray tan and teeth whitening business, I was flooded with questions from people, asking “Why would you train people? Aren’t you scared they are going to take business from you?” I honestly never had thoughts about that when I started thinking of training, my thoughts were, What an amazing opportunity to share with other women, especially single moms. This is a business that requires, low risk, low investment and low maintenance, Why would I not share it?! There is enough business to go around and the more we come together to build each other the better for us all.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love hiking Chumash Trail for all the beautiful views, and fresh shrimp tacos on the Ventura Pier.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family deserves so much credit. I originally started this business as a single mother of 2 children. My kids helped and supported me in so many ways, from helping set up and cleaning equipment, being understanding when I was so busy, and being the first to acknowledge all my hard work. I have since gotten married, my husband has been the most supportive behind the scenes supporter I could ever ask for. I owe my family so much.
