Meet Giselle Samson

We had the good fortune of connecting with Giselle Samson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Giselle, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Kiss the World was created from a very simple idea: that something small can carry a big message. The lip-shaped pendants are meant to be a symbol of love, unity, and human connection — a reminder that we’re all sharing this planet together and that kindness still matters.
From the beginning, it was important to me that the brand stand for something bigger than jewelry. Portions of proceeds support organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and initiatives that help people facing incredibly difficult circumstances. I’ve always believed that when business and compassion work together, that’s when real impact happens.
But beyond donations, the heart of Kiss the World is about inspiring people to show up for each other a little more. Whether that’s through a compliment, a hug, a kind word, or supporting a cause — those small acts ripple outward. If a pendant can remind someone to spread a little more love in their day, then we’re already making the world better one connection at a time.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art has always lived at the intersection of performance, storytelling, and human connection. I grew up in the performing arts as a ballet dancer, actress, and performer, so expressing emotion and telling stories through movement and creativity has always been second nature to me. Kiss the World is really an extension of that same artistic spirit—it just happens to take the form of jewelry instead of a stage.
What sets my brand apart is that it isn’t just about fashion or accessories. Each pendant is meant to represent something bigger: unity, compassion, and the idea that small acts of love can ripple outward into the world. I wanted to create something symbolic that people could wear as a reminder that we’re all connected and capable of making a positive impact.
My journey definitely wasn’t easy. Like many artists and entrepreneurs, I’ve had to navigate rejection, self-doubt, and the ups and downs that come with building something meaningful. I’ve had moments where I stepped away from parts of the industry, only to find my way back again with a clearer sense of purpose. What I’ve learned is that resilience is everything. If you truly believe in your vision, you have to keep showing up for it even when the path isn’t obvious.
What I’m most proud of is that Kiss the World stands for something hopeful. It’s not just a brand—it’s a message. My hope is that when people see or wear the pendant, it reminds them that kindness, love, and unity are powerful forces. At the end of the day, my story—and my brand—are really about using creativity to bring people together and to leave the world a little better than we found it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Los Angeles for a week, I’d want them to experience the mix of nature, creativity, and a little bit of glamour that makes the city so special. We’d start with a beach walk in Santa Monica or Malibu and grab lunch at Malibu Farm overlooking the ocean. Another day we’d visit the Getty Center for the art, gardens, and incredible views of the city.
Since I come from the performing arts world, I’d definitely take them to see a live show or performance somewhere in the city. We’d also hike up to Griffith Observatory, explore fun neighborhoods like Melrose or Abbot Kinney, and end a night in West Hollywood where the energy is always lively. For me, the best part of LA is the creative people—you never know what inspiring conversation or opportunity might come out of a simple coffee meeting. And tacos….TONS OF TACOS!!!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
This might sound unexpected, but one of the people who left a lasting imprint on me was Michael Jackson. I had the opportunity to meet him when I was younger, and during that moment he spoke about something that stayed with me for years. He talked about the importance of caring for the world and protecting children, and how each of us has a responsibility to contribute something positive while we’re here.
At the time I was just a young performer soaking in the moment, but the message really stuck with me as I grew older. As someone who has always lived in the arts and believes deeply in human connection, I kept coming back to that idea: how can we use our creativity to actually help people?
Years later, that reflection helped inspire the creation of my Kiss the World pendant. The symbol represents love, unity, and the idea that small gestures can ripple outward and make a difference. In many ways, that brief conversation planted a seed that eventually grew into the mission behind my brand — using something beautiful and wearable to remind people that kindness, compassion, and protecting one another, especially children, should always be part of the bigger picture.
