Meet Greg Harada | Entrepreneur & Go-Giver

We had the good fortune of connecting with Greg Harada and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Greg, how do you think about risk?
I think that being willing to take risks is a necessary characteristic to achieve anything great in life or business. If you don’t take risks, you won’t give yourself the opportunity to really stretch to your full potential nor put yourself in any position to make quantum leaps in your accomplishments. The mind is wired for survival and there will always be those negative thoughts that creep in, sharing ‘perfectly justified’ reasoning for why you shouldn’t do something or take action. The what ifs and negative self-talk will keep most from listening to what their soul really wants. If you are unwilling to take risks, you will live a life settling and wondering… what if? One of my favorite quotes from Earl Nightingale is this: “Most people tiptoe their way through life, hoping they make it safely to death.” Make ‘taking risks, then taking action’ a habit and you will open yourself up to a life of greatness. This is how I strive to live my life.
What should our readers know about your business?
Our business MarketBoost helps local businesses get more customers through creative marketing. Our specialty is video marketing. We create compelling videos to present your business, then rank these videos on the search engines, so people searching for your type of business will find you and see your video. There are businesses that handle video production or search engine optimization, or SEO, but we combine both of these into one service. increasing the visibility of your company online. What are we most excited about? Hearing from our clients that they got new customers because of our work for them. We got to where we are today business-wise through hard work, grit, and commitment. There have been countless challenges along the way, but with each of them came opportunities for learning and growth. As with any new undertaking, the learning curve is very high, so approaching it with a humble, but hungry mindset has kept us moving forward, more seasoned with every challenge. Some of the lessons we’ve learned along the way: Show up even when you don’t feel like it, maintain a high work ethic, and always keep your word, not just to others, but to yourself. Make commitments and follow through with action. Not only does this build character and self-confidence, but creates a lifestyle that breeds success. Having run a local business myself, I understand the frustrations and challenges they encounter, as well as what it takes to be successful. I bought a rundown laundromat in a tough neighborhood with zero web presence and built into the #1 laundromat, winning the best of the city award, and even made it on TV. This is the experience I bring with me into my new venture helping other businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I work everyday, so I’m probably the wrong person to ask this question to. But, LA has some nice beaches, hikes, and places to eat for sure. A friend visiting the area would be a great reason to explore.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All of my success in life is because of the foundation my parents laid for me growing up. They taught me to be a good person and showed me how to have a high work ethic and live with integrity and honesty. My wife is my support system that has been there to encourage and inspire me along the journey. And all the teachings, and books from Napoleon Hill have helped me immeasurably in my life.
