Meet Haylee Wood | Music Producer/Dj

We had the good fortune of connecting with Haylee Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haylee, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
I say “I love you” to all of the inanimate things in my life that help me everyday. for instance every time I walk into the studio room I make my music in I say “I love you so much studio” I’ I love you speakers and comfy rug” it keep me grounded and appreciate all the amazing things I have everyday

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been a musician and songwriter practically my entire life so it’s helped me a lot with my music journey. I do my own songwriting, lyrics and vocals on my music which sets me apart from a lot of artists in my specific genre. I’m very proud of all the hard work I put in, even though sometimes I dont feel like I’m doing enough. I realize though, I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadnt put in so much work, from the very beginning and still today. There was a lot of struggle especially In the very beginning, which I knew would one day pay off if I just didn’t give up. I’ve learned that being a genuine person in this industry goes a long way. Some people have it and some people dont, but those who don’t- it can’t be faked, and they ween out very fast. Staying relevant if very important with your music and your content, so every day you have to get better and learn something new, which I take as a challenge!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The best places in LA to party for me is: Academy, Avalon, Exchange and Sound nightclub in no specific order.
I love vegan food and LA is definitely the best city for it hands down. Some of the places I love to eat at are- Mr. Charlies it’s a play on McDonald’s but it’s 100% plant based. I love Monty’s too for a good, fast burger. Crossroads is a more upscale spot thats completely plant based too and it’s so good. There’s this smaller spot in Beverly Hills called “vegan Glory” I gotta give them a shoutout, they are friendly people and the food is amazing and well priced. This Vegan Pizza place on Venice Beach called- Love Amaro. Best Vegan pizza you will ever try!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m going to shout out Andrew Lux firstly for recommending me for this interview and also being a dope artist who I can talk to about anything. We always try to lift each other up and put each other on!
