We had the good fortune of connecting with Henrique Roncoletta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Henrique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I founded Marã Música in January 2018, and the idea for the company came from my performance as a musician (band NDK – @ndkoficial). I have always developed several partnerships for my musical project and I have always had this as one of the main pillars of a brand building. Having good partners and good brands at your side makes several doors open in a more natural way, and makes your work much more recognized and valued. Since then, the company has grown a lot, and today we serve artists across the national territory, from beginners, to some who already have great expression in the market.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Marã Música is a music marketing company whose main focus is to connect artists with brands and companies, in order to promote bigger and more impactful actions. The second major activity is in digital distribution. We have a label in partnership with Onerpm that already exceeds 2.5 million reproductions and continues to grow. In addition, we are taking care of the visual identity of the artists, and also making connections with all types of musical media, such as Sites, Magazines, YouTube Channels, and all other types of musical and artistic showcases.
I can’t say it was easy to get here, after all, it’s been more than 16 years dedicated to music, making contacts and connections daily and tirelessly, but I don’t regret anything. I want to be remembered as someone who contributed to the music and the music market, always doing everything with great love and with great respect for the work of all the artists who live all this by my side.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our base is in Jundiaí, a city very close to São Paulo, but still with an air of interior. We are considered the “city of the grape”, so I could not fail to offer a good wine to my friend, and would also take him to the famous “Serra do Japi” that surrounds us with a lot of nature and exuberance. I am grateful to be able to breathe fresh air every day, which certainly helps me to continue working and having good ideas. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First of all, I have to highlight my family, who always supported me from the beginning in my artistic career. I also highlight the professional who encouraged and supported me at the moment of greatest indecision about whether or not to start this business, which is Rulio Salinas, a wonderful music professional here in Brazil, whom I consider to be my great supporter. I also thank my partners and the entire team that today is part of Marã Música.
