We had the good fortune of connecting with Hugh McCrae Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hugh, what principle do you value most?
There are so many important values and principles for us to live by especially when we are confronted with conflicting issues or circumstances. Principles such as accountability, honesty, and loyalty are a few that cross cultures and time. The one that matters the most to me is integrity. It’s not just about being honest but also adhering to a certain moral or ethical code. Upholding yourself to a standard regardless of who is around and especially when no one is around.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been an actor for 5 years, 4 of those years I have been in California. I started acting in Arizona and made the move to California when an opportunity presented itself. I would have to say the move to California was thoroughly planned out but still not an easy transition. There were so many challenges to overcome from finding work, to looking for housing, searching for representation and most importantly adjusting to the higher cost of living. Those first few months in California were tough but one by one each challenge was overcome.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I’d start with Hollywood Blvd so we can see the stars on the Walk of fame and maybe checkout the Chinese Theater. Pinks hot dogs of course Griffith Park and maybe hike Runyon and take some Hollywood sign picks before some drinks at The Village Idiot. I love driving around Beverly Hills so that would be on my list. Hit up Rodeo drive do some shopping, mostly window shopping and grab a bite at 208 Rodeo. We also have to hit up the beach so we’re going to Venice beach or Santa Monica pier which are also two of my favorite people watching destinations.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I just want to shoutout my whole family. I love y’all!!
