We had the good fortune of connecting with Idit Or and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Idit, what’s your definition for success?
To me, true success is balance. It’s about finding harmony between the work I love, the life I want to live, and the way I go about it. Of course, as a business owner, I’m always striving for growth, customer satisfaction, and positive feedback, but true fulfillment comes from feeling a sense of balance. The thing is, balance is always in flux, it’s not constant, and as such, sometimes it means more energy into business or life. There is this term in Ayurveda, Sama Agni, that means balanced digestion. Besides the obvious association with food, digestion also applies to all life experiences and emotions. Being able to digest life properly is said to be the key to overall well-being. This concept inspires me greatly, and it’s what I strive for every day.

When the pendulum swings, it’s the desire and awareness of Sama Agni that helps me come back to center. It’s the simple things – being able to enjoy a morning rollerblading session, an afternoon yoga class, going to bed early and waking early, eating well and according to my dosha, and picking up my kids from school. Essentially, living according to the principles of Ayurveda that “like increases like, and opposites balance”.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our mission at DelighTeas is to raise the bar when it comes to delivering healthy alternatives at affordable prices, without compromising great flavor. We have a guiding set of brand values that sets us apart. We source the finest organic ingredients, 100% pure, clean, whole plants, spices, and herbs. All ingredients are lab-tested to ensure they are free of lead, heavy metals, and pesticides. All of our teas are proudly made in the USA. They are all Infused with Positivity, vegan, gluten-free, caffeine-free, and contain no added sugar, non-GMO, and no preservatives.

The cinnamon we use in our products is Ceylon “True” Cinnamon compared to the cheaper, more common Cassia Chinese Cinnamon. The Ceylon is better quality and safer, and it is also the more expensive variety. Many people are not aware of this and are consuming sub-par ingredients.

I’d like to begin by acknowledging the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, which came to me when I needed it most in life, and has been instrumental in shaping DelighTeas. I’m deeply grateful to the teachers, practitioners, and individuals who have brought this holistic approach to wellness into our lives.

Of course, I couldn’t have achieved this without the unwavering support of my family. My husband, kids, and even our furry friend, Leo, have been my constant source of encouragement, especially during challenging times. Their love and belief in me have been invaluable.

Our loyal customers also deserve a special mention. Their patronage and positive feedback have been a driving force behind our success.
