Hi iloveit!, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
The sound of the rain coming down right now. It’s pretty rare we get to experience this in LA.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This is the short version but I started as a producer in school who made beats and recorded my friends rapping on them. I would record songs impersonating accents of ppl I’d met but never took it seriously cuz I didn’t like how I sounded. All my friends were leaving or transferring schools during covid so I spent more time recording during isolation. This period of exploration developed the artist I am today, as I realized the difference between good and great producers is their understanding of arrangement and songwriting. I focused on that as I grew my engineering business. Doing different things confuses people and I have been advised to “pick a lane” and market myself that way. That never made sense to me that’s like telling a tomato to pick between being on pizza or a salad when it’s perfect for both. When you love it, you’re saucy at it no matter what your role is, and that role will change as you grow. Keep going and let them catch up.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take them to the benches and show them my favorite view of the city.

I want to thank my first music teacher, Nzingah Smith, who instilled greatness in me at a young age and told me how special my voice and ears are.
