Hi Indira, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After realizing that my previous job was no longer available, I found myself in a desperate situation, needing to secure a stable income to support my family. Initially hesitant, I attended a meeting about becoming a travel agent, and with the encouragement of my husband, I leaped, launching my own travel business, never looking back.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Magical Island Tours and Travel LLC, we are more than just a Host Agency; we are an integral part of the travel industry, providing education and marketing services with a deep-rooted passion for empowering travel agents. Our mission is to help you, the travel expert, flourish in your business by attracting your ideal clientele and steering clear of the common trap of overworking, all through the strategic use of online marketing.

My personal dedication to working with travel professionals like you stems from a profound belief in the positive impact you have on the world. You play a crucial role in enriching lives by exposing individuals to new destinations, cultures, and traditions, thereby broadening their perspectives and fostering a deeper understanding of our diverse world. The power of travel to transform lives, bridge gaps, and dismantle barriers, including racism, is truly remarkable. The service you provide is invaluable.

What fuels my passion is the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives by empowering them financially. This is not just my job, but my calling and what I strive to achieve for you. When the pandemic hit, we needed to pivot to support our agents and their families. We established pivotal relationships with the Ministry of National Security and the Ministry of Health in Trinidad, the US consulate, and charter airline providers. This collaboration was essential in ensuring safe and seamless travel across closed borders. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dale Dass for his invaluable assistance in making this possible.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I extend my deepest gratitude to God, for I firmly believe that without His grace, none of this would be achievable. Following closely, I must acknowledge my family—my husband, children, parents, and siblings. They have been the cornerstone of my support, offering unwavering encouragement even in moments of self-doubt.

I also owe a great deal of appreciation to Mr. Roland Hall, whose guidance has been instrumental in inspiring me to aim high and reach for the stars. Additionally, I cannot overlook the invaluable support of my clients, who have been with me from the very beginning and continue to believe in our vision.

Last but certainly not least, my agents deserve a special mention. Without their dedication and hard work, the realization of Magical Island Tours and Travel would remain a mere dream. Their efforts have been pivotal in bringing this dream to fruition.
