We had the good fortune of connecting with Intuitive Tara Thaler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Intuitive Tara, what matters most to you?
I would have to say love, loyalty, consciousness, and compassion. I know it can sound cliché these days, but so many people say this and don’t always live by it, so the value of its meaning gets diminished. There is a huge difference between meaningless words and meaningful actions behind the words. A lot of people hear, but they don’t always really listen. Somebody can say they understand or get someone, but they don’t always take a moment to imagine what it would be like to walk in the other person’s shoes or show genuine true compassion. People tell people all the time,” it’s going to be okay, don’t worry.” It’s so easy for one to say, but not always easy for another to do without knowing how. A few words of encouragement and support go a long way. Sometimes it’s not so much about what we say, but how we say it or the little meaningful things we do. People feel the honesty and integrity behind the words when it’s sincere and coming from the heart.
I used to help run an art gallery and tattoo studio in New York City for a renowned tattoo artist who went by the name of Spider Webb. He would always say “mean what you say and say what you mean,” and those words stuck with me.
Like Gandhi said,”You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am an intuitive counselor. This means I use my intuition to give predictions for what new and exciting things are to come, Along with emotional support, clarity, and guidance. I assist my clients with their current situations by helping them with important choices and life decisions, giving them tools for better coping skills and healing, and helping them with ideas that can enhance different areas of their lives. I give advice and direction regarding all aspects of life. I help people based on each person’s individual energy, needs, and questions. I take pride in my integrity and give honest, caring, fun, and uplifting readings. I’m known for being very descriptive and for giving specific details regarding questions in all aspects of life.
I’m very passionate about helping people connect with their loved ones! This includes people and pets who are on the other side. It means so much to me to be able to channel and deliver such important and meaningful messages. No matter how long I have been doing this, it always puts me in awe, and it’s so humbling. It just never ceases to amaze me! Simply because it brings purposeful messages and significant proof that they are really coming through, and they’re still with them. Often very specific names come up and detailed information that I couldn’t possibly know; this even surprises me. The personalities of the deceased come through and certain familiarities of how they spoke and what they would normally say. It’s just so amazing and special to witness and be a part of these special interactions. It’s touching beyond words for my clients as well as myself. It brings them a sense of peace, eases some grief, and reunites laughter and joy between them and their close ones up above who are still near in spirit.
I also love working with animals. I connect with people’s pets telepathically during an animal communication session. They are so receptive and intuitive themselves. I can provide their owners with helpful information about their pet’s needs, wants, or any health and behavioral concerns.
I have also been focusing on my party and event business. I read for all types of celebrations and events, like wedding parties, Grad Nights, birthdays, and many Halloween and holiday parties, just to name a few.
How did you get to where you are today business-wise Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
It happened in a very organic way. It just felt very natural, like it was part of my calling. There were also some vehicles that helped me hone my intuition at a pretty young age, such as a life-changing workshop and a palmistry class. I’m glad I was influenced to go, or I would not have landed there otherwise. It was so meant to be and put me in touch with my own clairvoyant abilities that were meant to be acknowledged and utilized. I went from being teased and facing some skepticism as a teenager in junior high in New York to being admired and respected for it in high school in California. I was meant to experience both sides of the coin. It made me appreciate who I really am and my abilities to guide and support others.
Something that always bothered me, and I help prevent and protect people from, are unethical psychics who give the word “psychic” a bad name! It gives a bad representation of what caring and genuine readers are about. I’m glad I can be a part of reversing that stigma. I help people recognize and avoid these disingenuine psychics, who would prey on their vulnerability and try to manipulate them out of their money.
You may have heard of those psychics who take advantage of people, but people also take psychics for granted too. Many just want to be your friend for free readings or only pop up just to pick your brain. It’s easy to take people’s empathy and kindness for granted. Some don’t have bad intentions or mean to, but just don’t get how many people come and depend on us. It’s taught me balance and boundaries. It has made me super grateful for those who value my time, energy, and services.
Intuitives and empaths sometimes go through different personal challenges and life experiences which can feel like a struggle at times, but the beautiful blessing is that it makes us stronger and better equipped to help others that much more.
It’s helped me with psychic downloads to better recognize what’s going on in different areas of my client’s lives. It has given me a better understanding of what they are experiencing with different people and situations, so I really understand and empathize with their feelings and needs and give them the best insight and recommendations possible.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It would feel like a disservice if I had a close friend visiting Southern California, and I didn’t introduce them to some of our beautiful sunny beaches. I would take them to lunch in Huntington Beach and sit outside on the patio at Sandy’s Beach Shack, where we could enjoy good food and the ocean view. We could lay out in the sun and then take a walk on the dog beach and watch the dogs play. There is also Sea Legs on the Beach, a place where they have fun live bands and reggae and eighties concerts.
The Lab in Costa Mesa is a fun urban anti-mall, and it has some good eateries. Habana has great Cuban food and good vegetarian options. I love their veggie tamale with sweet platanos and delicious veggie empanadas. Yum! The sangria options are nice too. Another good restaurant is Seabirds Kitchen which is vegan and has the best avocado beer-battered tacos.
And what type of friend would I be if I let my friend leave without taking them to Disneyland, “the happiest place on earth!” I would end the week on a relaxing note and drive down the coast to Laguna Beach to do the scenic stop-and-shop thing.
Then I would take my friend out to brunch in Dana Point at Hennessey’s Tavern to enjoy live music, and there’s nothing like their Captain Crunch French toast! I would make sure to leave them with some exhilarating farewell memories by taking them on Captain Dave’s Whale Watching and Safari Tour.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am forever grateful to my dad, who helped me on my path toward enlightenment. When I was a kid, he introduced me to a whole new world through meditation and esoteric teachings. It expanded my knowledge in an ethereal way and played a big part in who and where I am today. I appreciate my mom for supporting my spiritual journey and endeavors. It’s not your typical conventional job, and for me it’s not just a job. It’s my life purpose!
A special shout out to my childhood friends who helped me pave my way by either bugging me or being my guinea pigs. Haha! Thanks for being my muses of inspiration! If it were not for my high school and neighborhood friends liking my massages and asking me to rub their shoulders and lining up around the corner to read their palms. I may not have become a massage therapist or discovered my own intuitive abilities.
Much gratitude goes to working with special sentient beings at the Awakenings Center for Conscious living. And where would I be without my magical clients who’ve believed in me and remind me every day why I do what I do and the reasons I love doing it.
Thank you, Shout Out, for giving me and so many others a supportive space to share what we do, be of inspiration and express the important messages we wanted to share!
