We had the good fortune of connecting with Italia Woodson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Italia, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Growing up, I always thought success was partly contingent on your abilities but mainly dependent on luck and good timing. The moment I changed my mindset and thought process on success, everything I wanted began to flow into my life. While I believe everyone’s idea of success varies, no matter what you want to achieve, your thoughts are the key to attracting what you want. The moment I began to give thanks for the things I wanted (even before they came into fruition), they always happened. I read something a few years ago that stated, “the subconscious mind is literal. It attracts the words you speak and the thoughts you think.” When you give thanks for the things you want to attract, your subconscious mind believes these things are already yours. When it’s already yours, success flows into your life with ease.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have a sound meditation and energy healing practice. This journey of growing my business has truly been rewarding. Not only have I had the opportunity to connect with people from different walks of life, but I’ve been able to aid people in their healing journey which is special. My sister, who is also facilitating sound meditation, has thankfully been on this business adventure with me and through this process, we’ve realized the need for healing spaces that are inclusive to BIPOC individuals. I am proud to say we recently purchased 20 acres of land and have begun designing a wellness sanctuary dedicated to sound meditation, healing, plant medicine, and nature. This is a dream come true. Each day, this project reminds me to be bold and think big. We all have what it takes to make this world better, more loving, and compassionate. When we manifest our dreams and claim what we deserve, everything flows.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Nature, nature, nature! I would take a friend on all of the best hikes around Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu. I wouldn’t consider myself much of a foodie or drink connoisseur, but if I had to choose, I would suggest something casual/cute with rooftop vibes. Who doesn’t love a good view? Also, If you’re rolling with me, we will be seeing some type of concert or outdoor event. Music is my JAM! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this to my Grandmother, Ursula. She was a Yogi, Reiki Master, Massage Therapist, Nutritionist, and a woman before her time. Without her skills and willingness to take an unpopular direction in the 70s, I would not be the woman I am today. I am largely who I am because of her.
