We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Stevens and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacqueline, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m a Cali-Sotan (Californian Minnesotan). So I alchemize the approachability & warmth of the Midwest partnered with the West Coast ease & empowerment.
I’ve struggled with this question because “Where are you from?” seems so finite and my story isn’t that simple.
My family moved often, so my “from” was transition. Home was the adventure of the road. Knowing the next step stable but it was temporary too.
By 18, I’d moved 12 times.
I was born in Texas, but most of my life has been spent in California. Split between LA, The Bay Area, and the Sacramento area.
Minneapolis owns a decade of my heart and was a huge part of my growth journey, specifically in my 20’s. Shoutout to my Minneapolis crew, and my incredible network for friends and framily there.
What I’ve learned through all of my experiences with moving, is that “home” isn’t always given to us freely.
Home is a feeling, a space created through intention and nourished through incredible relationships.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This past year has been full of exponential growth. Primarily I’ve been busy coaching & developing programs that support folx in the creation of a more deeply connected life. Amped with juicy joy.
This last year I updated my website and services and I’ve never been more excited about my work in supporting people to shift their lives in difficult transition periods into deeper soul transformations!
Quite a shift from several years ago. Where I’d “made it” to the top of my career in the Beauty Industry, but I found out that “making it” wasn’t making me happy.
I went through my dark night of the soul, which led me to my “Eat Pray Love” spiritual + internal quest to rediscover who I was without all the external achievements, roles, + relationships I had defined myself by.
I’ve transitioned from a Global Beauty Industry Educator to a Certified Coach who specializes in guiding nearly burnt-out HIGH achievers to lead more EMPOWERED, SOUL-centered, Connected lives.
My clients are successful, but stuck! They are desiring clarity on what’s next for them in their relationship with their profession and likely in their romantic relationships too.
I support people as they enter their big life transitions arming them with a brand-new set of self-awareness, tools, and life skills to then navigate any relationships with more ease. From boundaries to communications to gaining clarity on what they REALLY want outta life.
I just finished up some bigger client programs and am launching some incredible transformational tools on my website soon. STAY TUNED!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love to design trips around someone’s personal energy.
So, I tend to consider: Are they active, a socialite, a foodie, an avid learner?
And then I plan around it!
My ideal visit in LA would consist of:
History – Museum Visit – The Broad or The Getty
Activity – Hikes on Hikes – you can’t not do Runyon
FOOD – ALL that good California cuisine (Great White in Venice),
Drive – A jaunt to Malibu – maybe another hike at Zuma
Beach – For Several hours, with a plethora of snacks from Erewhon or Rainbow Acres.
ELEVATE – with some herbs from Erba.
And, of course, amazing connection and community with love & laughter.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Dr. Nicole LePera – The Holistic Psychologist. Her work and her IG supported me through my Dark Night of the Soul, and her new book “How to do the Work”? I HIGHLY recommend (buy it from Malik books)
My community of coaches and mentors who continue to support my evolution, growth and development.
My therapist. 😉
The Den in LA has been an incredibly healing wellness space.
My friends, my peers, MY CLIENTS.
