We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Strengholt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacqueline, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of Ms Jackie Fitness (MJF) is the love/hate relationship my clients have with me, along with the communal spirit each person brings to a training session. They hate me during the training session, but love the endorphins and results they get from it. Each persons testimonial is also the driving force of why I say MJF is successful. They are unique in that, it requires more than just physical training, but commitment to staying on track with their nutrition, and checking-in with me on their mental/emotional health. It’s their trust in me as a coach, and sharing their story with others that allow MJF to have a reputable brand.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Depending on my client’s needs, I provide health coaching, nutrition coaching, and personal training. I love that I am able to work with my clients one on one. Deciding to hire a health coach and/or personal trainer is a very personal decision. It requires a lot of trust in a person to open up and be vulnerable about insecurities, self-image issues, unhealthy behaviors, and exercise (especially if you’ve never worked out before). It is a true honor when a client allows me to work with them on addressing these issues. We are able to collaborate and create a health plan that best works with their lifestyle. It’s truly the best feeling in the world when a client has a life-changing testimonial.
I did not grow up playing sports. I had zero experience with working out, until I decided to train for my first body building competition (following my dad’s footsteps). I realized how much I loved fitness and what joy it brought to my life. I knew being a fitness coach was my calling. From there, I decided to get certified as a personal trainer. Ms Jackie Fitness started on the beach in Newport Beach as a fun way to get friends together for exercise. I was charging $12 per session. I was working as a preschool teacher at the time, which is where the “Ms Jackie” came from. I had to work two, sometimes three jobs at a time in order to makes ends meet. One day, I decided I was going to make personal training my full-time job and pour all my time and focus into building a platform for MJF. I coached 8+ hours per day and lived the lifestyle. I was putting in time for training, creating workout videos, and continuing education to master my craft as a fitness trainer. Understanding form and body mechanics became a necessity, not only for myself, but for my clients as well. I do not coach or teach things that I don’t understand. I take so much pride in what I do. I want my clients to walk away feeling confident and accomplished. I have learned throughout the years that “personal training” is the initial step into getting in healthy, but there are so many other components that come with it for a true transformation to take place.

Since the pandemic I have moved my health coaching and personal training services online. I am now coaching others across the state. It has been amazing!

I want the world to know that Ms Jackie Fitness provides more than just personal training. MJF leans on the words – Trust The Process. No matter what season a person is in, they can trust that they are capable of being the healthiest and fit version of themselves. They just have to trust the path they are on, and believe they can become the best and healthiest version of themselves.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My family and I just moved to Buckeye, Arizona in a community called Verrado. We are still exploring the city and area ourselves. A few great restaurants are in downtown Verrado on Main St. The Verrado Golf Club and Ciao Grazie Pizzeria Wine-bar are a couple of our favorite spots. They have a great coffee spot, Ebb & Flow with delicious pastries as well. The Vick in Victory has a spectacular view of the city with indoor and outdoor seating that is perfect for happy hour, or a nice dinner.

One of the interesting spots to visit here is Cabela’s. If you’re interested in camping, and outdoor activities, that is the place to visit. They have everything you will need!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents. My mom has been my #1 supporter. At my lowest point in life, she was there to pick me up, and showed me what a strong woman looks and acts like. She is an entrepreneur herself, who has been a very successful hairdresser for the past 35+ years.  My mother has made a name for herself, by herself. I love you, mom.

Next, my dad. Growing up I witnessed my dad transform his average looking body, to a full on bodybuilder, naturally. He put in hours of training, stayed dedicated to his eating regimen, all while working full-time and being a full-time dad. Till this day, he trains everyday to maintain his muscular physique. Lastly, shoutout is to my husband, Jon. These past three years, he has put in hours of studying to finish his doctorates in physical therapy. Through it all, he stepped in to coach when our kids were born, and supported me through many of MJF’s biggest transitions. The best is yet to come!
