We had the good fortune of connecting with Jai Pellerin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jai, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I would not be who I am today without the women in my life. I was born in Texas and was a military brat so I’ve lived around the world. But what feels like home is San Antonio, Texas.

I was raised by lesbian women in the 1980’s through the 90’s, the age of “don’t ask don’t tell”.. They were all active military. My mother Margie Faye Pellerin passed away when I was 10 while serving active duty in the US army. This was a life changing event because up until that moment, it was just us, a single mother and her son.. She was ahead of her time, a vibrant spirit, truly living her own, despite the circumstances of the time. She showed me what love is, and inspired me to be there greatest version of myself.

After her funeral I was able to choose to move in with my godmother, Mildred Cintron She accepted me as her son since the day I was born. Ultimately, my godmother instilled in me a work ethic that coincided with my mother’s free spirit and creativity.

After 2 1/2 years of college, I joined the Navy, served 6 years in Hawaii and San Diego. I then moved to L.A, to pursue a career in entertainment I remained in school for the next 10 years, and eventually received my MFA in producing from the American Film Institute.

When I think about my upbringing I’m grateful that is was unique, and ‘m humbled by the journey. I know that I’m doing exactly what I am meant to do. Beer Run the Show is our current production,

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Seven years ago I decided to launch a production company called Nu Dymensionz L.L.C. We figured we could create a collective concept driven company that catered to the artist and story over anything else. After a few years we’ve worked on shorts and features, music videos and commercials. Our ultimate goal is to tell that best story we can so we developed Beer Run The Show, its our premiere series focused around craft beer its culture and community, connecting people through small business, COVID-19, social unrest, and economic instability, all over a craft beer. What sets us apart is not only utilizing digital platforms and traditional forms of selling content, but also expanding into merchandise and social connecting and brewing. Ultimately we’re all in this together and its our goal to make sure Craft beer and Craft culture is acknowledged through the journey!.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
