We had the good fortune of connecting with Jared Tavasolian and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jared, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Living an Authentic life begins with feeling good in our bodies. So many folks struggle with digestive distress, nagging injuries, bone-tired exhaustion, and stress that steals their joy. In my practice, I guide people back home to themselves – to tune into the wisdom of their bodies. When we come out of the dark, fend off scarcity, and stop hustling to prove our worth, we can respond to life’s challenges instead of reacting from that crowded place of discomfort. We can begin to lovingly address the shame and fears underlying our physical unease. We have to put on our own oxygen masks first before assisting others.
Parenting my son Jaiden is the most important brave work I do. More than my words, he absorbs my actions and integrity day-to-day. Though imperfect, I aim to model presence, commitment to personal growth, and compassion. Our relationship is a sacred container – he teaches me as much as I teach him. I strive to offer unconditional love, listening without judgement, acknowledgment of his struggles, and gentle guidance. My goal is that he feels seen, heard, and worthy of love, so he can build the courage to live Wholeheartedly.
Though parenting is never perfect, it’s among the most privileged opportunities we have to positively impact another human’s life. The tender moments hugging Jaiden when he’s sad, showing him how to get up when he falls, and giggling together fill me with immense gratitude. Even the challenges – tantrums, discipline issues, struggles – are opportunities for us both to practice vulnerability, forgiveness, and growth. With patience and love, I aim to nurture his self-esteem, empower him to stand up for himself and others, and guide him to live with compassion.
My hope is that by providing consistency, emotional safety, and unconditional belief in him, I can give Jaiden roots to flourish and wings to fly. Though the path of parenthood is winding and often difficult, the chance to witness this little person unfold day-by-day is such a gift. I’m endlessly grateful for the privilege of walking alongside Jaiden on his journey to living fully. Our relationship teaches me invaluable lessons about presence, playfulness, and staying true to myself.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m proud to be a health coach guiding folks to tune into their body’s wisdom and feel their best from the inside out. My approach is real, raw, and down-to-earth – I meet people where they’re at with humor and heart. This work found me after my own bumpy journey through chronic illness and burnout. Let’s just say the road to empowered wellbeing wasn’t easy or straightforward! But through the challenges, I learned firsthand how supporting your body allows your spirit to shine brighter. Now I blend scientific savvy, holistic therapies, and good ol’ TLC to help others tune out the noise, get unstuck, and feel empowered in their health. I want the world to know that true wellbeing often starts with small, imperfect steps – and that you deserve compassion, patience and belly laughs along the way! My mission is helping you rewrite your health story so you can live fully, serve others, and make your mark. We’re all a work-in-progress after all!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here’s a fun week-long itinerary for my visiting best friend to experience the best of the local area:
Day 1 – Let’s kick things off right with a morning surf session to catch some waves in Malibu with less people than the weekends. Nothing like gorgeous beaches and salty air! Refuel with fish tacos and margaritas at a beachfront cantina. After, take in sweeping ocean views on a cliffside hike. Then relax those sore muscles at the natural hot springs near Ojai. Cap it off by stargazing with a bottle of local kombucha and looking at the dazzling night sky.
Day 2 – Rise and shine for an outdoor movement session to get our energy flowing. Breakfast at the farmers market then hit the links for 18 holes at Rustic Canyon Golf Course with its stunning views. Cool off at sunset with craft cocktails on a sailing cruise along the harbor.
Day 3 – Adventure time! Pack snacks for an early start rock climbing in Joshua Tree National Park and take in the sweeping desert vistas. Drive down to Palm Springs for a retro rat pack cocktail at one of the classic bars. Then soak in the remo geothermal mineral pools under the palm trees.
Day 4 -Rest, do nothing and watch movies or lay in the park
Day 5 – Hangout in Santa Monica’s famous training area, doing rings, climbing rope and playing in the sand followed by lunch and ice cream at some of the best places in town.
Day 6 – Road trip up the coastline to Santa Barbara, eating fresh oysters along the way. Stroll State Street and unwind with a’ massage at the beachside rosewood spa.
Day 7 – One last hurrah! Start with hiking in the Santa Monica mountains to take in the city views. Enjoy Beverly Hills glamour with lunch on Rodeo Drive. Then watch the sunset together over the Pacific with champagne at a chic rooftop bar in Venice. Depart exhausted but already planning your next adventure!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My friends and Mentors who have been open to sharing, listening and help me. Without you I wouldn’t be here today. And the most important teacher in my life, my son Jaiden. I never knew I could love someone so much. Thank you for accepting imperfectness!
