We had the good fortune of connecting with Jean Tassy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jean, why did you pursue a creative career?
I always wanted to do something that was relevant timelessly. I started writing at the age of 13, and composing my songs. With 22 I started taking it as a profession. Today I work with what I love. I don’t live without music
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think something that differentiates my art from the others is the fact that I don’t like to follow the same pattern, but I keep my art always accessible, it makes my work authentic and pop at the same time. On this journey in the world of music, I learned a lot of good and bad. I learned to value myself more, not to let my eyes shine for any proposal… I am very grateful for everyone around me and works with me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
He would take him by the lake to have beer and talk about music watching a beautiful sunset. I really like the highlight of the city with nature. I feel that there is something inspiring when the two are close because it makes you question more about everything.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends have always believed in me. Some school teachers I studied. And especially my grandmother
