We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Cagle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, what’s your definition for success?
I’d have to relate to my all time favorite Maya Angelou quote, “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As the founder and CEO of The V Spa,
I am dedicated to Women’s Health & Wellness Advocacy. I am active in independent research & studies, as well as women’s leadership and have successfully refreshed and revitalized the ancient practice of Pelvic Steaming’ without watering down it’s significance by blending both traditional philosophies & modern standards.
My business culture celebrates women around the world by actively transforming and healing our global society not just one appointment at a time but on a continuum. I am on a steadfast mission to build community & sisterhood in women and empower her through holistic health, womb wellness, intimate self care and education thereof.
Vaginal steaming is an extension of the basic concept of paying attention to and loving the vagina and womb space. It is an opportunity to open ourselves up (both physically and emotionally) and allow soothing and comfort into an otherwise tightly guarded space. Beyond this value is an elemental self-care ritual, there are a multitude of other major reasons why more women have adapted vaginal steaming. It’s a simple yet beautiful way to honor and care for the most vulnerable and sensitive part of our bodies.
I can confidently say, I have facilitated a lot of emotional healing through my practice just by holding space for women and young girls to show up for themselves and detox their mind and body. Conversationally, just teaching women young and old things about their bodies they didn’t acknowledge their entire womanhood is exciting. Most importantly how our wombs are our second heart, our seat of creation and our power bank shifts the perspective on intimate self care and the importance of womb wellness. Most women only acknowledge their physical feminine needs but are the least bit connected to their spiritual anatomy, this creates a misaligned and disharmonious balance between the mind, body, and soul.
Anxiety, hormonal, and emotional overload have a way of manifesting into womb imbalances, menstrual irregularities, and other female conditions. The womb space is in disagreement with the modern way of living- we were created to nurture, nourish and calm not to rival the bustling noise, haste, and congestion of city life. So I intentionally created a space for women to deeply unwind & undress themselves from their load of responsibilities, and demands to seep into their inner sanctum and just honor their bodies with intimate self care. I help women to feel empowered, whole healthy, well, and complete.
I lend respect for the tradition with an awareness of Women’s present-day needs. Above all, my work affirms that health surpasses the physical, an idea that ultimately has metaphysical implications when we realize our innate abilities to heal and fortify our mind, body, & soul with natural alternatives using plant medicine-nature’s gift and compassionate support from other women.
The V Spa is not only a V Steam Spa and marketplace but also where women access the private support and resources they need and deserve in a community of practice. We’re a dynamic community built where every woman is welcome: young, old, gay, straight, bi, cisgender and transgender, of every culture, every religious or non-religious background, and at every socioeconomic level, without discrimination or divide. I had a dream of women mentoring each other, supporting each other, showing up for one another, powered by a single commonality; we all have a Vagina.
The V Spa is MY healing space, and just so happens I SHARE it with droves of women DAILY from all walks of life, that I never would have met otherwise. It is a space that women are invited to share their pain stories, love stories, birth stories and laughter and tears. This is a space where women come to bond, heal, strengthen and restore relationships with their mother, daughters, sisters, friends and theirselves. It’s where REAL WOMEN commune, and where intimate self care HAPPENS, NOT where it is SOLD. This work is incredibly rewarding and I encourage more women to become womb wellness advocates and join the practice of womb wellness through entrepreneurship with our accredited online trainings and certification offering. The goal in mind is to expand The V Spa community globally by helping other women to introduce The V Spa to their communities.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I really enjoy outdoor sceneries. The world is such a beautiful place and it’s very nurturing. I like to sometimes go on a full day sabbatical and just escape the hum drum of life to center myself. LA has some of the best botanical gardens and hidden oases. A couple of my favorites are The Huntington Library Art Collection & Botanical Gardens in San Marino, and The Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden & Teahouse in Pasadena, CA. Both are breathtaking and so serene. Anyone needing to unplug and unwind these are great places to go meditate and offer a different value of sightseeing than Hollywood Blvd. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am mostly grateful to the many of women who have shown a great deed of support to me personally and to my business along the years. The loyalty my clients have expressed to me is encouraging alone. Having consistency in a niche market and demand-based business is very rare but also what drives me to continually stretch myself and stay innovative and ahead of the industry. In short, I am dedicating this article to my loyal clients of The V Spa with a 25% off discount towards future appointments when you mention this article and 20% invitation discount to future clients who are interested in discovering a new modality of intimate self care.
