We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeri Marie Gregory and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeri Marie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The Single Moms Diary came about in my everyday walk as a single mom. If I’m struggling to find the balance, while smiling, teaching, cooking working and creating a brand and life for myself; I know another woman out there is too.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a creative, activating the atmosphere through song and worship has helped me experience Life in a different light. My journey is different from most, which has created the unique sound I deliver. It’s been challenging and my worship is what’s kept me and carried me. When the atmosphere begins to shift, things happen, hearts are encouraged, Spirits are lifted and relationships are strengthen, this brings joy to my soul. Professionally I’ve influenced mothers and their children through education, cooking and inspirational speaking. Being a single mom everything is dependent upon me. My 9-5 professional roll moved into entrepreneurship and I being to work independently allowing the needs of my children to be meet and I build the brand from home. I’ve learned how to use what I have physically and mentally to make ends meet and feed my daughters. Using my mom hacks and creative meal plans, I’ve helped others single moms find their balance.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ohhhh me and my friends are definitely foodies and moms. Most of my places are kid friendly. Monday- Roscoe’s chicken and waffles

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Gran. She loved me, encouraged me and supported me no matter that case. She poured into me when I was empty. Being a single mom my life was different and my walk wasn’t like most. She supported all my dreams, my daughters and inspired me and think beyond my circumstance. The most valuable gem she gave me was Jesus.
