We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Osher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jesse, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I was in college, I fell asleep at the wheel driving on Connecticut’s Merritt Parkway. Heading straight for the woods at high speed, I woke up just in time. I slammed on the brakes and narrowly avoided a collision. Since that terrifying incident, I tried product after product to fight moments of low energy and drowsiness. But nothing worked! So I started my own research on the subject. This led to the development of Jesse’s WakeUP! Bar.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started working on Jesse’s WakeUP! Bars in 2014. It took a very long time to get the bar and formula down because the original concept was to just create a bar that wakes you up. From there it was infinite possibilities of what kind of bar we were going to use. With a lot of trial and error, challenges, and “starting over moments” we launched in the Fall of 2018. What do we want the world to know? Jesse’s WakeUP! Bar (1 Bar = 3 Espressos). 350mg of all natural caffeine. Vegan, Gluten Free, Kosher, Dairy Free, Egg Free and Soy Free. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First shoutout, I want to mention my wife. In life, we all experience down moments, challenging moments and she is always there for me, pushing me to become better. Second shoutout, my Mom. In 2014, we were casually talking in my Living Room. And she said to me “anything ever happen with that wake up idea you’ve always had?” I said “Not really, I just don’t know exactly what it would be. A vitamin, a drink…” She said “What if it is something you eat? Like a bar.”
