We had the good fortune of connecting with Jillian Jordyn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jillian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I think taking risks are really important for your growth. Playing it safe will never get you what you truly want in life. A year ago i took a huge risk and moved to LA from New York all my myself. It was scary but it definitely paid off. I booked and filmed a movie called The Floaters coming out soon. I’ve also grown a tremendous amount which never would have happened without the move.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m getting excited to finally start releasing my original music! It has been a long time coming. It has taken a lot of time and hard work to get these songs finished, but it was so worth it. I’ve had to take an unconventional path to get to where I am today and it definitely wasn’t easy. I switched to online high school, graduated early, and decided not to go to college. This decision honestly was easy to make. I knew taking these steps would help my career in the best ways possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Even though i’ve lived in LA for a year I honestly haven’t found my staples yet. some restaurants I love are Jemma, Craig’s, and The Fountain Room at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I love going to Malibu and laying out at the beach. I definitely need some more recommendations so please send them my way!

I’d love to give a special shout out to my family. I would be no where without them. They have always supported me no matter what.
