Meet Joey Munoz

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Joey Munoz again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Joey , always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
I’m Joey “Kaos” Muñoz, founder of Santino Bros. Wrestling Academy, Southern California’s premier professional wrestling school. At Santino Bros., we’re dedicated to training, developing, and mentoring the next generation of pro wrestlers, focusing on discipline, hard work, and respect for the craft.
My journey in wrestling started over 3 decades ago. I’ve wrestled all over the world with, competed in major promotions, and learned from the best, which inspired me to give back to the industry by opening Santino Bros. in 2008.
What sets us apart is our intense, no nonsense training style, we don’t just teach moves; we teach psychology, storytelling, and the real grind of the business. Many of our students have gone on to wrestle for major promotions like NXT, AEW, NJPW, and more!
Santino Bros. has become a respected name in pro wrestling training, and we’re constantly evolving to give our students the best possible education in the ring. From running beginner courses to advanced pro training, we provide a legit, structured path for anyone serious about making wrestling their career.
It’s been a wild journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep pushing this dream forward. Looking forward to sharing more!

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Since our last conversation, things have been moving fast at Santino Bros. Wrestling Academy, and we’re leveling up in a big way. We’ve been expanding our training programs, adding more classes to accommodate the growing demand for quality pro wrestling education. Our focus remains on developing well-rounded performers who are not only skilled in the ring but also understand storytelling, character work, and the business side of wrestling.
One of the biggest and most exciting updates is that we are now running live events every two weeks, streamed exclusively on TRILLER TV. This has been a game changer, allowing us to showcase our talent to a wider audience while giving our students real-time, high-pressure experience in front of a live crowd. I’m currently producing a two hour show, structured with 50/50 matches and segments, blending high-level in-ring action with engaging storylines to create must watch programming.
This shift into live streaming has been an incredible challenge and learning experience. The production side requires a different kind of focus, balancing wrestling with entertainment value and ensuring we create a compelling product that stands out. It’s exciting to be able to offer our students and performers real opportunities to be seen on a broader platform while also giving fans an authentic indie wrestling experience they can engage with from anywhere.
There’s always the grind, of course, staying ahead in this business means constant innovation and hard work. But seeing the progression, the dedication from our roster, and the way our events are growing keeps me fired up. The future is all about expansion, evolution, and creating opportunities, and I’m looking forward to seeing how far we can push Santino Bros. as a force in pro wrestling.
We’re just getting started.
