We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathan Sherer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe taking risks is one of the most important aspects of life. Not to take them for the sake of risk, but to take them for the chance of growth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My journey as an artist has extended throughout every part of my life whether that be personal, spiritual, or professional. From a young age, I found myself seeking means of self expression. A way to define the intangible, and to provide answers to lifes questions, or at least an attempt to do so. For me personally, when I don’t feel aligned with my purpose, I tend to falter and collapse. Finding what you believe in and honoring it is so important.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite place to be in all of LA is the Santa Monica Pier and surrounding areas. I’m enamored by all of the history that has occurred in and around those areas, so many of the greats have lived and walked those streets. You can feel the artistic potency in the air.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my shoutout to the timeless works of Jack Kerouac & the liberation they stood for.
