We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Arteaga and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
When I was a kid after watching tv shows, and movies, I started creating stories in my mind, stories that are grounded in reality, I would write down story ideas, and afterwards start writing out the stories, ranging from drama, to horror. My dreams I’ve had in the past were inspiration for the stories I write, even when I get lost in thought, an idea begins to take form, from my stories I want the audience to feel hopeful, inspired, humble, scared of course, happy, grateful, I want to move the audience in my films, and stories.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I keep my art grounded in reality, I want my art to feel real, with my art I want the audience to feel that they have left their reality, and enter into a whole new world, an adventure into the wild. I’m excited about filming my upcoming projects, also currently writing more short films, and a couple of feature films are on the table. I’ve worked on other artists projects, meant fellow artists from the industry, giving me ideas, tips, encouragement, afterwards I would go on work on my projects, short film after short film, some commercials here and there, I stay focused, committed, determined, positive, versatile, hopeful, humble, and most importantly….grateful. If you stay consistent, disciplined, active, expanding your mind, positive, forever grateful, you will go far not just in your career, you will go far in life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would check out one city a day from Ontario, Ca to Los Angeles, Ca. Hit up the food spots, arcades, check out famous film locations, go to sporting events, anything that gets us out of the house, and into new adventures. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank these individuals for their dedication, time, commitment, ideas, encouragement, love , and support for helping me on my career path:
